new sketch up at NAS!

Shawn's newest sketch is amazing, of course! It worked great for pictures of our second trip to Camden Park in 2010. CP is a nearby (small) amusement park that seems extremely magical to most children, my own included. I remember going there as a child and thinking it was the biggest park in the world. If you're local, you understand the whimsy behind this nostalgic thinking. BUT, the kids all still love it, and in recent years the park has upgraded quite a few rides.

For the past few years we've gotten season passes to Camden Park and I can't seem to go without dragging the camera along. As a result I end up with loads of pictures (seemingly) of the same thing. This sketch was a fun, quick way to scrap the faves from trip #2.

We haven't bought our season passes yet, but they're 40% off through the end of this month...gotta get 'em :)

Hello...remember me?

I'm sure I'm one of *the worst* bloggers out there. My last update was September...really? Yes! So what have I been up to? Life, mostly :) I work, I read, I scrap, I chase kids and husband...life!

Last summer my husband found the neatest amusement/water park in Santa Clause, IN. HOLIDAY WORLD! We went for a few days in early July and absolutely loved it. Shawn's sketch called for one 5x7 photo, but I decided to use it for a bunch of those left over theme park photos using a collage print.

So once again...I promise to try to keep up with this blog thing...promise!

How are YOU spending Labor Day?

We're busy today working on our house. My  husband has been spending spare time putting new siding on our house and I'll be the first to admit that I'm not much help. Today, though, I pitched in and started scraping paint from the chimney - so not fun, but definitely needed :) This is the new color siding. We haven't decided on a color for the chimney yet. I say it should match the trim, Shane says it should match the siding. Opinions, anyone??  The front is completely done now...today Shane finished the flashing, soffet, and gutters and it looks so great! I love having a handy hubby :)

Kiddos return to school and Sketch DT announced at Nuts About Sketches - and I'm in :)

Last Thursday my 3 kids started school at a new elementary school. Davis Creek seems to be a wonderful fit for our family and everyone seems to be adjusting very well. Don't they look cute in their first day outfits??

Congrats to all the new and returning super sketch designers. I'm thrilled to be on the DT again - Shawn's sketches simply R-O-C-K!!! This was my DT submission.

A New Friend

Last week I received an email that Build A Bear was having a Christmas in July sale. A few select animals were only $7. My intention was to order a pink poodle for Aslynn and keep it until Christmas. It arrived today and I couldn't wait, I had to give it to her. Now her kitty Princess has a friend, Pinky Pie the poodle!

I'm not much of a blogger!

It's funny that I talk all the time in the real world, but hate talking on the phone and can't ever remember to update my blog! Alot has happened since my last update. Shane made it home from Iraq in February (yay!!). We took a much needed 2 week trip to Orlando where we visited Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. We've been on several other smaller trips and I'm enjoying every minute of our family being together again :)
